I’d love to know how other parents deal with lying. Historically, we’ve tried just about everything and to no avail. Our son has continued to look us in the eye and lie. Usually it’s about the smallest things like taking a shower or even eating breakfast. We are at our wits end! We explain why someone would want to be trustworthy, we have explained the value and importance of honesty and trust and when we’re having these talks he will listen and say he understands, but then will lie again.
